Vibrato OOPS
 

I video taped a concert. When reviewing the video it sounds like the woman sang everything in a VIBRATO style and I do not think that it was correctly recorded. In otherwords she sang correctly but it came out on the sound track as a vibrato.
What causes it?
Can this be corrected?
If so what software?
And where can I get it?
Other than that the concert went well.

Does it definitely sound like an equipment problem? Some stylists do overuse the vibrato, and as we know some sounds are much more conspicuous played back in a different environment.

i had a problem like this, it was just the tape reading head of the reader i was using.

either that or you've clipped the sound (sound levels to high)

Possible too high recording levels, even though the speaking voice sounds good and I paid attention to the levels, not going above the marker for correct level. At least at the time of the recording, I do not recall any vibrato in her voice. If it is the heads reading then perhaps cleaning the heads?????but if that was the case during recording then it is on the tape (if recorded at the correct levels) and in that case is there any software to correct it???
If I can't correct then since it is a concert of the CD and the Music Video I might have to do some "FLASHY, WHIZ, BOOM, BANG" editing to try and cover it up and then ony the truly musically sensitive ears will detect the vibrato.

try cleaning the head on the cam or whatever you capture from using a cleaning casette then recapturing the video and audio or just audio. worked for me.

extreme clipping cant be totally fixed, but you can in most video editing programs reduce volume - try -3db or -6db
