Potential Problems with GL1/XM1???

Hi All,

I've just brought an XM1(pal), it's 4 Years Old, in really good condition, hasn't been used for more than 30hrs Total, it's well looked after.

What are things i can do to keep it running in Tip Top condition??? I've heard of tape mechanism's failing and blown pixels, but that's about it. Any other things to look out for??

Any help much appreciated

- Mike

I've heard the zoom rocker tends to give out. Not common, but not rare either. The contacts under the buttons get dirty, so I hear. It's fixable, but not easily.

Thanks Ben.

I'll keep an eye out for that then.

Ben? I wasn't aware it was a GL1 feature too? Recently I have had a rocker replaced on my XM2.
