Canon ZM-100 Mike for GL2/XM2 query.

Hi i have purchased the Canon ZM 100 mike for my XM 2 (Pal). Could anyone please tell me if they have used this and thoughts on it and also is there any pacific settings in the menu section i have to adjust before filming.
