Transferring footage from my XHA1 tapes on the HV30?
 

I wasnt able to find an answer to this with the search function, so I thought I would ask. If I use the HV30 to transfer footage from my XHA1 to my computer, will it transfer FULL QUALITY HD footage just as if I was transferring it from the XHA1? I currently use a Firestore, but I only have one. And if Im using the Firestore on the HV30 I will need to transfer my XHA1 footage WITHOUT using the playback heads (for obvious reasons). I know the playback heads on the HV30 are prone to problems as well, but Id rather have those problems on the least expensive unit I have.

Yes you can. I am using myself the HV30 to transfer footage shot on an XLH1a, which is essentially the same camera (footage wise). The HV30 will be able to read your material in all frame rates.
