i've shot about 20 or 30 or 40 hours maybe on the pani dvm63pq's and i've only had a couple drop outs, and one was on an output from my comp which could have been a conform error as much as a tape transport error

Another consideration... the case the tapes are stored in...

I like to use the DVCAM tapes as I still use my PD170...

I think you could just about run over these tapes with a truck and
they'd be ok...

the model is sony PDVM-40N

these are the non chiped tapes...
