I haven't used it, and I never would, sorry I can't offer any assistance. Have you looked in the manual? It may only work in certain shooting modes, that is what I would suspect.

I will also not use my digital tele converter, but still, I want it to work. I tried different modes, no luck.

problem solved, it is a stupid design, you have to activate the 2x zoom in the menu and the on the touch screen zoom in another menu.
