XA10 gets stuck in auto focus
 

I'm not sure what's happening and it's something I can't duplicate.

There have been two occasions where I have been shooting in auto focus and when I've hit the custom button on the side ... the camera will not change to manual. It makes no difference if I'm in standby or recording. I've tried powering the camera down, but even that doesn't help.

Now if I turn the camera on the next day ... no problem.

Has anyone else had an issue like this?

Does a system reset clear it (but caution - it may clear any other stored settings)?

Was the camcorder by any chance in AUTO mode (an easy unintended slip of the switch)?

I'll give the reset a try, but this is random. As for stuck in auto mode ... no chance at all on that one as the camera was being used in manual. It's just really an odd situation.
