It's possible it could also be a ram mismatch issue. Not making sure all ram has the same specs can pose problems that may not be noticeable from the getgo. Also I never mix brands. A lot of ram from various brands is NOT equal... even with the same specs.

Well, I hate to jinx it, but it appears the ram was the problem. Cineform aspect seems to be working much better now.

Now I guess I need to scrape-up the $500 to buy it :)

I capture footage just fine in final cut studio it might all depend on your computer and not the software if your computer has a small amount of memory or a bad processor than it just might crash like that i have a new macbook pro and i've only had one crash try the mac software it seems to be very stable and doesn't crash much good luck!

The Canon presets for CS2 work just fine in CS3 too. Just download them from Adobe and off you go.
