On camera LCD?
One think I don't like about the A1 is the mini-LCD.
Can anyone recommend a good on camera LCD display? I've heard of the Marshalls and Variazooms, but can't find any real user reviews. I'm looking to spend under $500 (but more like $300). Anybody have any opinions on this? Thanks, Howard |
If your budget is $300-$500, then save your money and use the on camera monitoring. I have the marshall, and in my opinion this is entry level for HD field work. Panasonic makes a very nice HD field monitor, but it is about as much as you paid for your camera.

I would just be really, really wary of anything less than $1K (probably $2K to be realistic). There is a whole entire forum here on monitors, BTW, and most of the worthy HD monitors have likely been reviewed or described there.

i have started a new thread in the SDTV/HDTV Video Monitor Forum so if someone wants to check out the replies here's the link
