I just noticed on your earlier thread about the 200m lanc extension - did you really mean 3.5mm stereo plugs? I thought all lancs were 2.5mm.

PPS. Interesting about the bats, shall have to do some more investigating. Wonder if they're mostly North Island?

When I was in New Zealand, I was told probably the best places for bats were the old forests in the south west of South Island, and the easiest place to find them might be along the road to Milford Sound. However, later we read that bats were turning up in other places too, including North Island. People hadn't really looked for them much before. Even here in Britain we are finding the rarer bats in so many more places now that bat detectors have become more sophisticated and easy to use.

Generally speaking the "nightshot" feature is based on sensing near IR.
