Choosing a Preset for Feature Film
 

There are so many presets out there that people have made. The look I love is nice warm flesh skin tones and rich color like this:

Which preset should I pick and stick with through my feature? One of the DVX Matching presets or what? Has anyone ever tried a preset to match the varicam in anyway? What would you use?

Also, if I decided I would rather CC in post what preset would give me best play room.

I realize lighting has a lot to do with what the shots end up like but if it was you and you were going to pick a preset...what would it be?

Well, if you ask me lighting is almost everything...

I would test out all the presets and find what you like, and stick with that one. I tried out quite a few and the one I liked the most for my documentary work was called EOSPHOTO I believe. The look really resembled my CC process anyway so it sort of saved me a step and gave me a higher quality results.

The problem with presets is the don't always work the same for different scenarios so I've found that it really helps to have a clear idea of what you want at any given scene.
