Zebra questions

I wonder if it's possible to see zebra stripes on an external monitor?
They don't seem to appear except on the camera monitor.

Thanks,

Walt

I don't believe so.

However, you do have Zebra with DV Rack, now known as Adobe On Location.

This is a PC only program. I think there is also a program for a Mac, but I'm not sure (or don't remember what I've read... I don't use Macs).

Do you get it if you are using the Canon console software?

I have never been able to get zebra with an ext. monitor.

On the Mac, there's $100 package called Veescope:

The Mac program is called Scopebox. Version 2.0, which was just released, supports HDV and has scopes, including zebras. Be aware, however, that if you are using your A1 directly into the computer, there is a latency in the preview due to the HDV using up CPU.
