Ah, right! Now I see... I just mis-read "2X mag"... I thought you were referring to the finger zoom knob/button on the other side of the camera casing -- I do not know the technical name for it... :D

Ok, just checked the A1 manual: "Grip Zoom Lever"

But yah, I definitely use the 2X mag from time to time. :)

Cheers,
Micky

Hey guys,
When I do that, zoom into the subject, focus, then zoom out, the whole frame is out of focus. What am i doing wrong?

@Steve:

Hmm, that sounds strange to me.

The technique works well for me, esp. with peaking and the LCD sharpness turned-up.

Is your auto focus turned off?

Is the lens clean?

Not sure... ? :(

Hi,
The AF is OFF and the lens is clean, when I set my focus (when zoomed in) the focus says about 1.3m but when I zoom out, it is blurry, I then re-focus, and it looks crisp at .2m

Hmm, strange.

Sorry that I can't be of any help.
