Sound Devices 302 audio levels with the A1.

The A1 line input level is too low when feeding it from a SD 302 mixer set at factory default settings of 0dBu out.

There's a 302 menu option to adjust its VU meter so that when it displays tone of 0dBu it's actually putting out +4dBu line level.

Basically turning down the 302 meter reading to get a higher line input level for the A1, anyone done this?

Cheers.

I've heard that the 302 has limiters on the in & outputs. Could that be affecting your line input level? Is it possible to bypass the limiters? Depending on the knee of the limiter setting the threshold to 0db could still be limiting the audio.
