Quad Amputee Fighter Documentary

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share the latest feature length film I am producing and directing. We are editing on Final Cut Studio 2 and shooting with a Canon XHA1. I would love for you to check out the media on the website A Fighting Chance.

The film is about an extraordinary individual named Kyle Maynard. He is a champion highschool wrestler and Jiu Jitsu grappler who now wants to be the first MMA Fighter in history without arms or legs. He was denied the right to compete in an amateur fight and the story follows him as he tries to pursue his dream. Please let me know what you think!

Thank you!

Baptism Short

Had a bit of fun with some footage I had from my church's baptism. Thought I'd share it.

It still needs some work but all comments and criticism is welcome.

Most of the slo-mo was done in Vegas. A couple of clips were slowed with Twixtor.

XHA1/SGPRO 35mm adapter/17-40mm

Got an SGPRO a couple of days ago, this is the first footage. I hadn't realised that you need to turn off the image stabilizer, which is why there is a black band that keeps creeping in on the left.
I'm really impressed with the picture quality though,it's the exact look I was hoping for.

As I said,it's the first stuff I shot so not very exciting! SHot at 40mm throughout.

espresso distributor web advertisement

This is a web advertisement for my father's business which is based out of Albany, NY. The idea is that there will be a series of 3-4 of these types of videos, each one focusing on a different component of his company. The plan is to be short, to the point, and show as much as possible without being too quick about it.

The text/lower thirds are just place-holders for now, they are not done being designed yet. Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Isle of Man Steam Railway

My long suffering photographic assistant Trevor and I had a spare day so we thought we might abuse our tourist dept press passes and have a days jolly on the local train. This is the first 'proper' footage I've shot with my SGPRO so it's still a bit 'rough around the edges' - no colour correction, etc.

I did notice that the spinning glass shows up later in the day,I think this is probably because the battery was going dead and slowing the SG down?

Anyway, this is the Manx Steam railway that runs between Douglas and Port Erin, that's all I know,I'm not a train-spotter!

Any advise on technique will be gladly taken onboard :D

There's no way you could have had OIS on. Turn that thing on for handheld stuff. It works wonders! :)

High Five Berlin

Made a video for a school assignment.
My first real crack at cinematography.
Title is high 5 although there are only 4 locations.
Video would be better if i was allowed to shoot everything i wanted in Berlin but meh, i hope this will do.

Was wondering what you guys think of it.

Oh yeah, sometimes the poor quality is the fault of my Letus not being switched on.

Night lights

Got bored last night and decided to go film the cars on the freeway. The moon decided to show itself and it was beautiful.

The music could make a train wreck look peaceful...I first heard it in Steven Dempsey's "An Uncluttered World" (search for him on Vimeo, he's a genius) then
Jeff Nelson from dvinfo.net told me it's from killertracks.com and is called Sentimental Adagietto by John Bennett.

Shooting through a fence sucks.

XH-A1 on Manual 24F, 1/3 shutter, wide open. Steven Dempsey's VIVIDRGB preset.
