XHA1 and 720 24p

I've been asked to tape an event tomorrow night at 720 24p. I have the XHA1 and HV40. The XHA1 is 1080, right? I have Sony Vegas, FCP7 and CS5, I could convert to 720, right?

Go to the MENU/SIGNAL SETUP

SIGNAL STANDARD HD

FRAME RATE 24F (actually 23.976)

COMP OUT 1080i/480i

When you edit the footage in CS5 just drag it to the NEW ITEM icon and a SEQUENCE will be set up that's 1440 X 1080.

Edit your footage and when you export, use the H264 1280 X 720p 23.976 frame rate.

In Vegas when you render you can render to 720p.
