Best lanc controller?
Howdy,
I saw a couple of Varizooms on BH Photo but the reviews stated that the 4 left buttons didn't work with the XHA1 on the VZStealthLX and the zoom only had 3-4 incremental speeds on Canon (as opposed to infinite on the reviewer's Sony) for the cheaper model. I'd like to have a nice steady variable-speed zoom and an auto-focus button (I don't see the point in a controller unless these are available)...you guys have any suggestions for the XHA1? Thanks very much, Randy |
GR check out the Manfrotto 523PROi but just make sure its pan handle (19mm) will fit your tripod rose .. or you've to buy a handle that'll fit.
I'm going through that exercise as we speak :) Cheers. tripods, heads, monopods, light stands, camera supports, lighting supports, professional tripod 523PROI - RC LANC-PAN BAR |
Manfrotto 521 Proi. B&H.

I'll second the Manfrotto 521 Proi (clamps on to your existing tripod arm) or the more expensive 523PROi (replaces your existing arm). The 523 also does rec review but they are both very good.
Just make sure no one tries to sell you one of the older stock versions with similar model numbers - they have limited functionality. |
Hi
Also check out a new device from Manfrotto, 521LX. I don't know anything more about it than the info on Manfrottos site. It looks nice though... Regards, /Bo |
Thanks very much guys, I guess either one of those would work for me as I use Manfrotto but I think I'll go with the one without the panhandle so I can use it on a Spiderbrace also.
Thanks again guys! Randy |
