Poetry Slam Event Recap - Feedback Appreciated

I shot a Poetry Slam a few weeks ago. Check it out and let me know what you think. I will be shooting this event again next week and every month until March. I really want to improve each month so that after March I'll be a "master" at this type of video. The client really wanted a fast-paced, aggressive, "raw" video so thats what I was going for.

I shot with a single A1 on 24F. I'm thinking of using 30F next time since its a live event and I've read that its the way to go for live events. I also may also be able to use a T2i on the shoot as well next time so I will be able to set my A1 wide to shoot the performers then walk around with the T2i to get b-roll shots.

I used a Rode shotgun mic mounted on my camera for audio. I'm thinking of trying to get a feed from the venues mixer next time so that I can get better audio.

Other than that let me know what you think. I have learned SO much from these forums already so your feedback on my product would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!

looked great! using sound from the board would definitely help, though, as the levels were inconsistent and clipped a lot.

Great pres nice titles. Might be easier to try facing the Rode at the least distorted sounding room speaker. Not right close up, but back enough to include some room atmos. Take extra mic cable and stand as you'll probably have to get the mic off the camera.

A Bcam will add to it .. maybe try more dramatic CC in post. Doing it each month is great .. next March check the first one against the final one and you'll see you have become the master of it. :)
Cheers.

Very well done! What program did you use to make your titles?
