Canon XH-G1 and XH-G1S Color profiles?

Hello,

I currently use two XH-G1 cameras and shoot in a live set up.

I was just wondering, if I purchase the XH-G1s as a third camera and use the same color profile in this camera, as I do in the XH-G1 cameras -- will the color be identical?

Will the XH-G1 and the XH-G1s provide identical color with the same color profile?

Thanks

Well I have the same 5 custom presets in my XH-A1 and XH-A1s .. and they match each other .. given the other settings, light etc. are identical.

Cheers.

The profiles will insure that the colors are identical among
all cameras provided that you have also matched them
carefully through White Balance. Do the WB on all cams
first, then fire up the custom preset.

Thanks..

Thank you so much.

It looks like I'll have to purchase a couple of XH-G1s cameras to complete the live set-up. It's getting harder and harder to locate refurbished XH-G1 cameras now.

So it's good to know the color will be identical on all cameras.

Thanks again.

Just a quick note, you can match a G1S to an existing G1 preset.

But not the other way around. Hope this helps,

Hi Chris,

I'm a bit confused :-)

I'm using the VIVIDRGB preset in the XH-G1 cameras - would I be able to just copy it to a memory card, load it in the XH-G1s cameras, white balance the cameras together, and then have identical color?

Thanks again

Yes, you can. A preset created for the G1 can be used in the G1S.

Not the other way around, however. Hope this helps,

Oh, I understand now.

Thanks so much Chris.
