Help with Custom Sports Profile setting

I must admit that the settings in the custom profiles mystify me a bit.
Could anyone give me a quick idea of what i should be focusing on in the settings for the following purposes:

Shooting sports - decent High School stadium lighting
I try to shoot at the highest shutter possible -normally 90 to 120
3db gain
f3.2

I've been using some presets to boost the saturation, but it seems to darken the image a bit too much and force me to lower the shutter or increase gain.
I'm not looking for style here . . . more practical balance of sharpness, dynamic range and color depth.

Thanks

Hi Mark.

I like using the preset Truecolor. It was designed to give the most dynamic range so things can be tweaked in post. You may want to give it a try then bump the saturation in post. Good luck.

Hey Mark,

Everytime I do a sports shoot at night I use the low light PFVision present. I film in 60i with the shutter speed of 120.

Good Luck.

Matthew, Thanks man, that preset is perfect! What a difference!
When i saw the settings i was doubtful, just shows that i truly don't understand them and the way they "interact".
I did have to tone down the Red Gain . . . opposing team's uniforms were glowing!
I prefer shooting progressive despite the auto focus difficulties that that presents (currently have a back focus issue).

The past 2 games i was able to shoot 120/100 shutter with 6db gain and it looks much better, thanks again for the suggestion.
Cheers,
Mark
