Re: Low Light on Canon XH A1s

Yeah, these rich ex1 user can have it all :D But seriously, a t3i just a bit better then the xh-a1 in low light? I have a t2i and a xh-a1 and I get less visible grain at 1600 iso with the dslr then my xh-a1 at 6db gain and with my fast primes the difference is like night and day meaning I see more light through my lens then I can see with my own eyes, sure, focus can be very problematic if you are at f1.4 or 2 on moving subjects but f2.8 is very usable on my 14mm and that is still better then my xh-a1 when they dim the light. This doesn't mean you never need a light with a dslr, it actually is better to have a bit of fill light, not a sunlight beam the xh-a1 needs. The xh-a1 needs light all the time to perform under low-light, with a dslr/fast enough lens you'd need light at maybe 10% of the time.
