XH-A1, Premiere Pro CS6 capture problems
 
Set-up:
imac
3.4 ghz i7
32 gigs ram
over 500 gigs of Hard drive space left


I've captured multiple tapes with no issues what so ever over the past 6 months. Now for some reason today while trying to capture (or even just play the video back) PP CS6 will crash.

I've tried a different tapes and different projects with no success.

Any ideas appreciated.

Try these, reconnect all cables, do an imac system restore to before the trouble, disable anti-virus. Reinstall PP. Good luck.

I used imovie to capture and it worked fine. Must be a Premiere pro problem.

Do you know if I can uninstall PP and reinstall without losing any saved projects?
