Good price for bad Canon XHA1s

Hello everyone.
I need a little help.
About 3 years ago I bought a canon XAH1s. I love the camera and the image it produces, but it has given me some problems regarding the firewire board, that had to be replaced twice.
Recently it happened again and I'm not willing to spend a bunch of money in the repair (probably the same as buying a used camera).
I wasn't interested in getting another camera (like the Hv30/40) to use as a deck, so I'm considering selling it.
The camera is in excellent condition (apart the firewire problem) and I got an offer of 300 euros (a little over 400 dollars) for the canon XHA1s. I think is a little low, but I have no idea of the value of this equipment, especially in the condition I just mentioned. What do you guys think?

Around these parts the xh-a1 sells for under 1000 euro's if they are in a good working condition, thing is if something doesn't work value decreases very quickly, if you only are getting 300 for it then it's better to get a second hand cheap camera as deck and squeeze a few more years out of it and then sell it, you"d probably still get 200 to 300 euro for it then if you trow in the handicam for capture.
