The difference between H1 and A1-expound please

Sorry if this has been posted.

What is this SDI that keeps coming up? it is only on the H1 right?

I know that the major difference between the H1 and the A1 is that the H1 has a professional jackpack.

Can anyone describe to me or point me to a resource that would describe this jackpack and what it's advantages are and is it mainly for professional videographers? Another words for a non pro, would the A1 have the inputs and outputs necessary without the jackpack?

thanks
Jerry

I think you mean G1....

As far as I know the only difference between the G1 and A1 is the jackpack with genlock and SDI... other than that it's the same camera

It is on the XL H1 and XH G1. Your question has been previously answered here:

Nick you are right, I meant the G1, thanks

Chris, thanks and sorry. I also found that your watchdog site has some info on these new camcorders.
