Eye Cup flip up?

I'm assuming the eyecup flips up to accomodate different shooting situations? I haven't seen a single photo of the camera with the eyecup up.

Kevin Myhre December 13th, 2006 11:03 AM

do you mean the eye cup or the view finder? The view finder does move up for different angles.

Bill Pryor December 13th, 2006 11:05 AM

The viewfinder tilts up most of the way, but not completely vertical.

Steven Dempsey December 13th, 2006 11:07 AM

Yes, that's what I meant...coffee didn't kick in yet.

Thanks :)

Here is a quick picture with my Laptop's Camera. This is as high as it will go.

Steven Dempsey December 13th, 2006 01:27 PM

Perfect! thanks :)

Brad Tyrrell December 13th, 2006 03:24 PM

Cool, you got one with the dial on the other side and Canon spelled backwards. I bet the LCD is flipped too.

Bill Pryor December 13th, 2006 03:38 PM

Heheheh--that would be the left handed model, you think?

Steven Dempsey December 13th, 2006 03:40 PM

Now look what I've started...

Chris Barcellos December 13th, 2006 05:41 PM

just checked this post, and you know what, it brightened up an otherwise dreary day here in Sacramento.....hit my funny bone just right.....

Chris Hurd December 13th, 2006 06:19 PM

Sure, it's funny up until you hear what those outrageously expensive left-hand models cost...

Steven Dempsey December 13th, 2006 06:41 PM

Are you guys serious??

Okay, I'm not really asking that question :)

Brad Tyrrell December 13th, 2006 07:07 PM

Un-jacking the thread if I might...

Yes, both models have liftable viewfinders. However, if you share one, you need to be considerate and lower the eyepiece when you're finished.

Man, does my wife hate that...

Chris Barcellos December 13th, 2006 07:23 PM

My wife hates it when I leave my LCD open on my FX1 and she tries to close it. Damn magnet on it for my DIY 35mm adapter is taped on there, and I know she will try to slam it shut one day...and there will go my LCD...

Brad Tyrrell December 13th, 2006 07:47 PM

Wives!! When they slam it shut it's really... You taped a magnet on it?

Does that work? Wow! I'm going to try that tonight.
