Workflow 25f with FCP
 

I don't have the XH A1 but think about it.
At the same time doubt about it between the DVX I love the colors of DVX and the progressive shoot possibility.
I see and read here on the forum the progressive of canon XHA1 is the same quality as the DVX.
But before I make mine decision I will know something about the workflow with the FCP connected to 25f shooting.

It will be fine if somebody can tell me something about :

-capture settings
-sequence settings
-export to end product DVD

It's very easy to work with 25F. F is P in FCP. Simply choose HDV 1080p25 (25P) settings for capture and timeline.

Sequence Preset: HDV 1080p25
Capture Preset: HDV
Device Control: I've been using Sony HDV 1080i50 Firewire preset

If you export your end product to DVD, you can do it directly from FCP or use Compressor, just like with HDV 1080i. Also you need FCP 5.1.2 or higher version.
