Thanks bill. But I've got a pelican hardcase for the larger trips, I'm now looking for a smaller backpack for mobility/low profile.
I'll be shooting a documentary in India next month, so I'm trying to prepare my equipment now. I know I want my camera with me at all times, and I know that it needs to be comfortable to wear, sturdy, non-theif-eye-catching, and hold the A1 and some batteries/mics/filters. I'm leaning toward the lowepro now, just for the integrated rainhood. But I've got an awesome swiss army backpack for my laptop that is about as comfortable as backpacks get, I'm considering retrofitting that with padding dividers or some internal case to securely hold the camera. I'm keeping my eyes open... |
i have the lowepro cw, It is a complete bag, it fits perfect. Plus so many pockets to put everything you need. It is also a perfect carry on bag. One of the guys here led me to it and it has been a blessing.(*__*)

Do you know which bag it is (what model)?

Well...I spent the money.
After worrying about build quality I went with a Kata HB-207 http://www.kata-bags.com/Item.asp?pi...d=1&ProdLine=1 |

Just to late but even the small Kata R-103 is good for the A1. I needed a really small Backpack for Outdoor filming in the "wilderness". Itīs just enough for the essentials (Mic, Tripod attached outside, Lens Hood, Tapes) |
I finaly found a picture of my backpack on the web:
