newbee get hd on internet with xh-a1

Hi I have the xh-a1 I use mac
I have imovie hD and final cut pro
I am clueless on the best way to get hd content on the internet
I have a mac.com account
what is the best way to post a 3 min HD movie on the internet?

Richard, IMHO "to post a movie on the Internet" implies it could be streamed; unfortunately the bitrate of HDV (25Mbps) is much too high for it to be streamed to majority of Internet users. This leaves you with the only other option - downloading clips for local playback; of course you're free to use any method of posting any kind of files on the Internet available so far (ftp. etc).

As far as I know, you don't.

Viewers need to read it through some sort of universal software like Quicktime or Windows Media Player so your video needs to be rendered as either a .wmv or a .mov.

Hi Richard,

Do you have a server where you can place it, or are you looking for a (free or not) place on an external server connected to the internet?

In which format do you want it to be?

Mpeg2, Quicktime or for instance DivX?
