XH-A1 + 35mm Adapter = Purple fringing???

Hi folks,

I've got an A1 and am seriously considering a 35mm adapter, but the one thing that really concerns me is all the talk of colo(u)r separation / purple fringing on high contrast areas.

I have noticed some issues with this on the camera without an adapter, and i feel it is liveable - i a quite pleased with it on the whole. But is this problem really exacerbated when going 35mm? And is it worse on some adapters than others?

I really love the footage that the SGPro produces, but i think the Brevis will be my choice - ease of setup, nice packaging and fast dispatch time being the deciding factors. But Dennis has the A1, and bemoans the color separation issue... are these any solutions (in post for example) or work arounds?

Jim

Although the Letus FE is not quite up to the quality of the SGPro or the Brevis, I have not experienced any CA using this set up.

Here are two examples (I've posted them here before):

Somebody mentioned that, ironically, the better the quality of the diopter, the more likely you are to experience CA...I'm not all that technical so I'm not sure what the reasoning behind this is.

I have heard about the problems using a Brevis but I have not heard any reports, good or bad, about using the SGPro.

CA on the A1 seems to be pronounced at wide angles. Using a 35mm adapter you would be zoomed in on the GG. I doubt the A1 would perform worse than similar cameras in this respect, and none of the footage I have seen indicates otherwise.
