XL2 Presets Manager for MAC?

Anyone know if/where there is a Mac version to download for the XL2 Presets Manager?

There's not one that I'm aware of, unfortunately. I'm on the Mac too and I'd kill to have a presets manager, but I've never heard of such a beast. =(

One would think that with such a large installed base of Final Cut Pro users (and thus Mac users) in the industry that there would be a Mac version somewhere.

No, there isn't one that I'm aware of. When Steve was creating the Bluebarn Presets Manager, he was waiting on an SDK for OSX but apparently never got one.

I remember seeing Mac version coming soon where I downloaded the app. When is soon? How long has this app been out?

Sorry, as Greg points out above, most likely this will not happen.

Best bet is to just go ahead and run Windows OS on the Mac platform.

Note that you will have to BOOT in windows via Boot Camp not use Parallels. The current versions of Parallels does not support the firewire port so you are hosed. If Parallels did support it, it would be very, very nice and simple. Currently I'm looking at running Boot Camp et. al. simply for running the Presets Manager. What a pain.

Question, since Blue Barn gives away the presets manager have they considered making there windows version Open Source so that some enterprising Mac/Video developers could port this app to the Mac? I don't know who I would contact there but Chris I'm assuming from your comment you must know Steve who developed the Windows version.

Hi Phil, thanks for the tip. Steve built this app from from Canon's SDK and I believe a restriction of that license was that he could not share the code, preventing his work from becoming open source. Perhaps someone else can obtain the SDK direct from Canon and build a Mac version?
