Oh man, those batteries are heavy. I tried weighing it my postal scale (which goes to 20 ounces) and the battery bottoms it out easily. I would guess that they weigh at least 2 pounds.

Yeah, so don't forget the adding a battery pack moves the center of gravity backwards, so you should slide your XL2 forward the same distance on your tripod. Otherwise, you run the risk of wearing the ball head unevenly. |
