Video Capture

Is it possible to capture video signal coming out of a XL2 non-compressed in FCP?

Thanks!

No. The video is compressed before it ever reaches the tape or any of the outputs.

Dang! I was just wondering the same thing. Looks more and more
like I'll be going XH-A1 (should be G1 but can't afford that one).

Just thought I'd add that even the compressed signal from the XL2 looks great and is super clean. Uncompressed would probably only be really useful for greenscreen work and that kind of stuff. I know, it would be nice...but in practice, it's not really a big deal at all for most of us.
