2nd Hand XL2 - What's it worth?
 

Hi,

I'm looking to sell my 3 year old Canon XL2 and a few accessories. I've had a look on eBay to see what they're going for but thought I'd ask here to see what people thought.

Any idea what I could realistically get for the following:

Canon XL2 with 20x lens
Canon 3x Wide Angle Lens
Pelican 1650 case
2 long life batteries

I know that I've seen this question asked here many times. I think it's hard to give such an estimate without knowing what kind of condition the items are in.

All items are in good working condition with no faults. It's been my main working camera since I bought it up until about 4 days ago when my XH-A1 arrived.

Even ballpark estimates will be helpful anyway - doesn't have to be to the dollar :)

Used XL2 in excellent condition: around $2,400
Used 3X lens in excellent condition: around $700 - $800
Used batteries: expendables - throw in with camera to increase appeal
Pelican 1650 case in excellent condition: $150 - $200

The main reason I feel so comfortable with giving you these prices, is because I spent the last month pricing used equipment before buying another new XL2. I did buy the 3x lens used though (B&H - $870 in excellent condition, I mean not a scratch). Hope this helps, it's just too bad you didn't post this a week ago. I would have made you an offer.
