XL2 Club, only for new cam's ?
 

Hello!
A few months ago I purchased a used XL2 from a person who only used it for 21 hrs of tape time. The project was finished and they decided to sell the cam.
On Canon's website I couldn't find any information except their page to sign up for the Xl2 club, on which they ask for the date and dealer in which the cam was purchased.
Is the XL2 club only for people who purchase their cams new?
I do have to say, "Wow, what a camera!!"
