24 fps question
I have a quick question.
I wanted t shoot video at 24 fps (2.3-3.2) so that it could be transfered to film. But am i able to shoot 24 fps (2.3) so that it could be seen on tv, and then later transfered to film without losing any frames or synced sounds? |
Hi Joe and welcome to DVinfo. IMO, shoot 2:3:3:2 for easy import and editing in a 23.976 progressive timeline. Once you're done editing, export whatever 24fps format needed for your film out. It is a minor matter to then export a separate 2:3 version from your NLE's 23.976fps timeline to create a 60i version for TV.
If you shoot 2:3, you'll just create unnecessary challenges for the 24fps output. |
Hi Joe,
I'll second what Pete said. Shooting in 2:3:3:2 is much better the 2:3. Terry |
