Canon XL2 vs GL2 in 4:3

In 4:3, what camera comes out on top? Looking at the specs, the GL2 has 30k more pixels per ccd. If most of my client work is in 4:3 would the DVX100a be a better choice?

Ergonomics rules above all, including pixel count. How the camera feels in your hands will make more of a difference to you than 30,000 pixels. The right camera for you is the one which feels best in your hands. Forget about numbers. Try to get a hands-on demo of each, the GL2, XL2 and DVX100A. Whichever one feels best in your hands, whose controls are laid out most logically according to your subjective tastes and whose feature set most appeals to you, that's the one you want to buy.

I moved up from an XM2 (GL2) to my current XL2 first impreesions are the handling of the new camera it feels really substantial to hold wereas the GL2 now feels like a toy, the GL2 is really easy to "throw" around and had a lot more forgivness in its manual operation, although in my eyes the XL2 has a lot more picture quality to offer and better pro manual control. In 16:9 there is no comparison the XL2 produces amazingly clear shots.......
