Canon 1.6 Extender PLUS Century Optics 1.6X converter

I have both of those coming tomorrow. Mathmatically, it means a potential of a 51 X zoom lens.

Now I don't figure to use this bad boy for daily use, but I do like to do some eagle and wildlife videography and thought this would make for soe impressive footage.

Any comments, suggestions :))

Darren, are you going to use both, the extender and the converter, at the same time? Are you going to use them with the 20x ISII lens?

Did you consider to use EF-lenses for the wildlife shoots? I think it would give you better quality than the combination of an extender and a converter. Of course that's easy top say for me as I have a bunch of EF lenses for my 20D. Moneywise your combination of extender and converter may be a nice solution.

Please let us know how you like the quality. Or better even, show us some footage.

I have the XL adapter and I have used a 500mm lens with it. It is very impressive, but the DOF is very small, and it makes focusing difficult.

I also have the FX1, and the convertrer was purchased to use with it. The extender was purchased for the XL2, but I just thoiught it would be fun to see how they work together.
