Financing a camera

Greetings.

Is there a reputable company that has a financing program for the XL2?

Thanks,
-dave

Financing is crazy. You will pay too much in interest in doing so. Better to cooperatively own one camera between two or three people (and have a well defined exit plan) than to pay the financing company what could have been better spent on a good tripod and 3x lens.

Well, although (as Chris pointed out) financing will cost you more, there may be valid reasons where financing is a good option. Like if you need a camera to shoot a paying project.

I don't have any names for you, but I'd suggest going to your bank for a loan, if this is for a business venture and you have some capitol.

I'd also suggest buying a cheaper camera. A used XL1s or DVX100 is less than half the price of an XL2.

Dell has financing for purchases & is an authorized Canon dealer.

Apple sells the XL2 & offers financing plans.

You can also apply for financing thru paypal & then purchase at evsonline.com or bhphotovideo.com both of whom sponsor this site.

Or you could write a kick-ass screenplay, sell it to some famous actor's production company & then finance your own project.
