By the way, one of the reasons that I purchased that camera was that, at the time at least, there were a couple of nightvision, manufacturers that had kit that could be attached to the camera between the body and the lens. It was gen 2 stuff (which was the latest at the time) and worked unbelievably well. You may want to look into that.

You are dead right Mat you can not edit the tape here either.

In my case I work in outback Australia doing work in the middle of no where. Just getting an ID shot out here can be a huge problem, half the time they never leave the property. With the average camera video is usless, so we have mostly just taken stills and relied on the investigators testimony as Mat says.

I think if you try a long 35mm lens with the EOS adapter you'll be out of your mind (in a good way).

My partner is a former Marine Corps sniper, him in a ghillie suite is the ultimate answer! :)

well, I just got my Canon XL2 from Norman Camera in Michigan (super fast shipping and friendly staff) and all this information is good to know.
