Anyone out there using the ZR-1000 zoom control? Im wantig to get one but thought I would get some user reviews. Anything else you would all suggest over it. Thanks!

I use the ZR-1000, especially with the EF-adapters and EF-lenses in order to minimize the vibration of the camera when rec is pushed on.

There's only one annoying thing which comes into mind: XL2 has the jacket in the back of the camera (whereas XL1 had it on the side), and the cord is actually too short for that. This implies I have to set the handle of the tripod in a unnatural position. However, there should be no problems in adding an extension to the cable. (Haven't had yet time to do that.)
