Querry about Extenders
 

I would like to know which different extenders can be used with canon XL 2 without using the XL adaptor. Can the Canon 20 X lens supplied with the camera be used with XL adaptor also?

I'm not sure what you mean by "the XL adapter," but any XL lens can be used with the Canon 1.6x Extender. See some examples on my Fields of View Comparisons page located at:

Sorry, that should have been EF adaptor.Is there only on one extender i.e. 1.6 X which can be used for XL 2?

The mounts for the Canon 20x and the EF lenses are not the same size, so NO the 20x will not fit onto the EF adapter.

As for an Extender, maybe you are looking for a 1.6 tele-converter? If so look at the VS-16TC-XL at http://www.centuryoptics.com/products/prodv/xl1/xl1.htm
(But nay not fit on the 20x)
