24p/30p Issue

I've been shooting at 30p and wonder how the "look" differs between 24p and 30p. I tried 24p when I first purchased the XL2, but I can't use it yet due to the software I'm editing with. Is there an appreciable difference in the overall look between the two? or is it more subtle--a minor difference? It seemed subtle to me, the colors seemed somewhat more saturated and the edges of objects a bit softer in 24p over 30p. Just curious about insights on this and would appreciate hearing them.

The only difference between 24p and 30p is the motion... it shouldn't affect your color and sharpness. The difference in motion probably tricks you when you're viewing through the viewfinder.

Where 24p has a film-like motion and 60i has a video motion, 30p is right between. When I shoot a project in progressive, I use 30p to film fast-motion action - since there are more frames per second, it doesn't stutter as much.

While there doesn't seem to be a big difference between 24p and 30p, someone used to working with 24p can definitely tell a difference.
