On camera light for my XL2
 

Good morning,
I am in the market for an on camera light for my XL2.
I am looking at the bescor 50w or 100w light.

This might be way out of your range, but if you had more of a budget, you might want to look into this: http://www.dvcreators.net/products/litepanels.html As for me, I wish I had the money because this is pretty impressive and it has a video that shows it off.

Really cool, but the price!!

If someone wants something like that, I think making it would just be the way to go -- you can get individual LEDs from RadioShack (and I'm sure an online supplier might sell them in bulk for cheap). Wiring wouldn't be anything special and than it's just a matter of attaching them to a cannabalized hotshoe and voila!
