Mixing frames rates on the same tape

Is there any harm in using different frame rates on the same tape? I was thinking of shooting some shots in 60i for slow motion purposes, while the rest are in 24P.

Should work just fine. Capture will stop when rate changes, but then just start again.

You CANNOT, however, put 24P and 24P Advanced footage on the same tape.

Why not? I've done it. Everything came out fine.

Really? I'll have to look at the manual again, but I swear it says you can't do it.

Nothing will get damaged or distroyed or changed. You may just have to watch when you capture. During capature in PP 2, if the video or audio format changes then it will stop and you can just start capturing it again in the new format.
