Best preset for most info

What preset settings should I use to get the most of information onto the tape so that in post I have the most versatility over what I have shot. I’m also wondering how many stops of latitude can I get out of the camera with no modifications. Thanx for the help.

Can't anyone help me out with this? It's a pretty simple question I'm just to stupid to know what all the sliders do. Ash I'm sure you know the answer to this.

Start by setting the Knee to low. This will help create a more gradual roll off in the highlight areas.

Next, set Black to stretch. This will do the same as Knee except for the lower end of the curve.

Beyond that, you can mess with master pedestal and that can lift the blacks as well.

There are lots of good presets already made. Just download the Blue Barn Presets manager here on the forum and then download the presets. You don't have to use the presets manager as the preset files are actually plain text and you can load them in manually if you're a glutton for punishment.
