tiffen contrast filters

anyone used the low or ultra contrast filters with the XLH1?

I only want to get one - any advice on grade or low vs ultra?

May I expand this thread a bit? I have used Cokin P series filters for years with the XL-2 and XLH-1, and the problem with them is if you are shooting toward light (eg. the sun), any tiny scratch or dust mote shows up in your pans. Resin filters, the most affordable ones, are all prone to that problem, and I suspect that contrast filters are no exception. So I would ask as well, does anyone know of a maker of glass filters that fit the Cokin Series of holders?

I've got an Ultra con 1 that I never use it's a 4x5.65 I can try and take some "before and after" pics with the cam so you cna get a feel for it.

Tiffen Low Con filter

Peter

I used a Tiffen 1/8 low con filter with XH A1. The sample footage can be seen at the link below. I would recommend purchasing a 1/8 or a 1/4 any high grade and the image could get muddy in compression.
