Gosting in footage
 

OK, I may be dumb as a stump, but I have read and read and can not seem to find what is wrong with my camera (XLH1a)

I'm hoping it is just a setting problem, but may I ask another question stupid or not.

I've read losts on Gosting in the view finder in this camera, but I have it in my footage when I move the camera or someone walks past.

My IS is off and I'm on a tripod, I'm shooting 1/16 in 60i running in manual.

Anyone see this in footage ? and can it be fix with a setting?

You did say 1/16, didn't you? Is that 1/16th of a second shutter speed?

If that is correct, anything moving faster in the frame than a paraplegic snail is going to leave a trail.

Bump it up to at least 1/30th, 1/60th is even better.

If you're shooting at night and there isn't enough light, you'll either need lights or to boost your gain.

If you're shooting in normal daylight you have probably maxed out the ND filters and/ or closed the iris to the stops, the latter is not good, back it off to about f5.6 and set the shutter speed accordingly.

There now, that wasn't so bad, was it?
