XL2 Price Drop???

Would any of you think there would be a price drop for the XL2 once the H1 gets settled in?

H1's price is way out of my league and I've always wanted the XL2 so, I am hoping that it would be possible.

I would not count on an XL2 price drop. The XL H1 does not compete with the XL2, and the XL2 is not going away anytime soon. If anything I would expect XL2 sales to pick up as a result of the H1 announcement.

Demand could increase in short term

Some might argue the following ... Now that the $9,000 XL H1 has been announced, those who have been holding off on a purchase in anticipation of a $5,000 XL3 may purchase an XL2, thus increasing XL2 demand in the short term.

I know at least one XL2 that will drop in price, i'm selling mine the week before the H1 is released :)

With the street already at $3600 - $3800 I dont think it will fall much farther than $3500. I still see XL1 (not XL1s) cams sell for over $2000 on eBay.

Canon's best

Canon's XL2 will remain the same in terms of cost, after all I am an owner of the Canon GL-XL family so I know these issues.
