For me it's a matter of screen clutter. I like to use my displays for the usual FCP windows and be able to view the edit on something else larger at the same time (hard to believe I was ever happy with two 15" displays)...

Since the work I'm doing is going to see it's first light in the world of NTSC, I color correct on a Sony monitor that I've had since I was cutting U-Matic (it's still good, amazingly).. I use an off-the-shelf 24" Zenith LCD for composition (I know, cheap, but it serves my needs - and I can route to a 42" Panasonic Plasma in another room for final assessment)...

What I want is to be able to view my HDV edits on both these (Sony and Zenith) screens, preferrably simultaneously.. Is the Decklink going to allow that do you think? Steve Rosen
