1394 programming interface?
 

Is there any information available on the programming SDK for the XL H1? I've seen references to the Console application, but I am really looking for the underlying SDK upon which Console was written. I'd like to read the zoom data from the Firewire port. If there is another way to read zoom data from the camera, that would also work. Suggestions? I looked through the web site, and searched the forums here, but didn't see anything apropos.

Hi Eliot, I think your best bet is to contact Canon USA directly. I haven't heard of an SDK for this camera or Console, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
